Best Carseat/Stroller in the world
Me and my wife recently had our baby Josiah King . We took a business trip to Sacramento and baby Josiah decided to come early thankfully we had our hospital bags and our brand new Orbit baby. We are from Los Angeles and having the baby in Sacramento was a little scary knowing we had a 7 hr trip back to LA. The day came when we got released from the hospital and our trip back to LA started. This carseat literally saved our lives the baby was super comfy and literally only woke up 2 times and just because he was hungry. I cannot wait to create so many memories with the help of this amazing stroller/ Carseat
Great portability for child mobility
The G5 system is the ultimate in portability. That’s why my wife and I chose this system. The G5 base is incredibly sturdy and easy to install in any vehicle. The latch storage is awesome for hiding the latches if you need a seatbelt system to secure the base to the car. As well the large knob makes tightening the base to secure it to the seat of your car very easy. All in all I give this a 10/10. Would buy again.
Orbit G5 Car seat
This is my 6th child and I could never afford such high quality baby gear.. Even though it’s tough now and being unemployed, I was able to ****** the orbit baby car seat G5. I specifically chose this because of the protective covering in the front to shield my baby from the ongoing viruses.. it’s also made easy to access baby with rotation and is very classy.. I have not given birth yet, but item came within 2 days and I love it!!!
Best stroller system and carseat !!
We absolutely loved our infant seat with our firstborn. We couldn’t wait for the toddler seat to come out! As we are expecting our second little miracle, we know for sure that we will only use orbit baby for our stroller , car seats, and accessories. We get compliments all the time on how “nice” our stroller is!
Not happy with this car seat unfortunately
I have 5 weeks old baby. Unfortunately we are not happy with this car seat. I dont think it was designed well. My baby is completely squashed there, the straps are too tight and too narrow. I had to take off the shoulder straps to fit him there. The plastic clip is very difficult to turn on or off. My baby weighs 5kg now and it feels like he wont fit there at all soon. I would appreciate if you contacted me and we could check together if the car seat is set up in right way. Thanks. I gave two stars as I like the design of seat from the outside and that it turns.
Hey Lucie, Thank you for your feedback regarding your seat and congratulations on your new little one! Like all car seats, there is a little bit of a learning curve to get the safest harness fit for your child including getting the straps to fit nice and snug. At 5kg (11lbs), the newborn insert should be removed from the seat. It sounds like there might be some user error here. Regardless, we're happy to help you get setup correctly. Our Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) Jonathan is available to help our customers through video calls to walk you through any fit difficulties you are having and make sure your child is riding safely. He is available Mon-Fri and appointments can be booked here - https://orbitbabyusa.com/pages/car-seat-consultation With a few small adjustments and the help of Jonathan, we hope we can improve our 2 star rating and your overall Orbit Baby experience.
Easy to Go From Car to Stroller
I have back and neck issues and having this car seat has been great for me. No straining or fussing to get the car seat into the base, especially with being able to place the seat in with the baby facing you and turning them backwards. My only issue has been that the online videos and the manual are not as helpful or specific as I expected them to be. Specifically, we found it difficult to figure out how the crotch buckle and straps over the legs/hips should fit/sit. The videos don’t show any views of how the straps should sit on the legs, and the manual doesn’t mention anything beyond that you pull the straps snug over the legs. Also, the manual did say to use the furthest back slot for the crotch buckle with the newborn insert, but it doesn’t say which slot the buckle should be in without the insert—either? Only the forward one? It just seemed like, with the newborn insert (baby was 7.5 lbs), the straps sat more towards/almost over his knees and not far enough back. Another note—the manual says the newborn insert should be used for 4-11lbs and then it says the car seat should be used without the insert for 12lbs and above. What about when the baby weighs between 11 lbs and 12 lbs? This spec should be rephrased to not exclude those 15 ounces between 11 and 12 pounds.
Thanks for the feedback Hayley. These are all valid points and we will be evaluating the manual and help guides to further clarify the specifics you mentioned. If you need any further help, please feel free to reach-out to our on staff car seat expert at firstname.lastname@example.org
